Notion Meeting Notes to Slack
Pull meeting notes from Notion and post formatted summaries to Slack so nobody has to ask what they missed.
The Challenge
Meeting notes sit in Notion, but half the team never opens the link. Meanwhile, Slack is where everyone actually lives. Manually copying summaries between the two is tedious and error-prone. This prompt reads your Notion meeting notes and posts a clean, formatted summary directly to the right Slack channel — decisions, action items, and all.

Context
Search Strategy
- Search Notion for pages matching the meeting name or date
- Filter results to pages (not databases) edited recently
- Retrieve the full page content including all blocks
- Extract the most important sections
What to Extract
From meeting notes, prioritize:
- Decisions made: Any firm conclusions or approvals
- Action items: Tasks assigned to specific people with deadlines
- Key discussion points: Topics that were debated or need follow-up
- Blockers: Issues that are holding up progress
- Next meeting: When the group meets again
Formatting for Slack
Use Slack markdown formatting:
- Bold for section headers
- Bullet points for lists
-
Blockquotes for important decisions
- @mentions if usernames are available
- Link back to the original Notion page
What Counts as a Valid Summary
- Only include information actually present in the notes
- Do not fabricate action items or decisions
- If the notes are sparse, say so rather than padding the summary
- Always include the Notion page link for full context
Output
Slack Message Format:
Meeting Notes: [Meeting Title] [Date] — from Notion

- [ ] [Task] — [Owner] — [Due date]
