Context

Monitor Workflow

NewsCatcher CatchAll works in two phases:

Initial Setup (one-time):

  1. Create a job with a natural language query (e.g., "Find all Series A funding rounds for AI startups")
  2. Wait for the job to complete (~10-15 minutes)
  3. Create a monitor from the successful job to run on a schedule

Daily Monitoring (this prompt):

  1. List all active monitors
  2. Pull results from each monitor
  3. Filter for new records (last 24 hours)
  4. Compile and email the digest

What to Look For

High-value signals:

  • Funding announcements (Series A, B, C, etc.)
  • Executive moves (CEO, CTO, VP hires)
  • Product launches or pivots
  • Partnership announcements
  • Acquisition rumors or confirmations

Record structure: Each record includes:

  • record_title: Brief summary
  • enrichment: Structured data (company, amount, investor, etc.)
  • citations: Source articles with links and dates

Filtering Logic

Only include records where:

  • The citation date is within the last 24 hours
  • The record hasn't been previously reported (if tracking state)
  • The content matches user's focus areas
