Chat with your agent in Slack

Your team already lives in Slack. Install the Cotera app once and everyone can ask Coco questions, run agents, and get results in-channel. No new tab, no new habit.

Install

1. In Cotera, open Settings and find the Slack connection.
2. Click Connect Slack and approve the app for your workspace. That's the whole setup; the bot is now available across your workspace.

Use it

• In a channel: mention the bot to start: "@Coco what changed with Stripe this week?" Once it replies, keep talking in the thread; no more mentions needed. Each thread is its own conversation with full context.
• In a DM: just message it directly, no mention required.
• Channel → agent mapping: a channel can be assigned a specific agent, so #competitive-intel talks to your Competitor News Tracker while everywhere else gets the general assistant.

While it works, the bot marks your message with an hourglass reaction, then posts the answer in the thread, including results from any tools it used along the way.

Things to know

• The bot only sees channels it's been invited to. channel_not_found errors from agents sending Slack messages almost always mean the app isn't in that channel yet; invite it.
• Slack threads map to Cotera conversations, so you can pick any thread up later from the Cotera app with full history.
