Regulation Asia
Authentication Type: API Key Description: Financial-regulation news for the Asia-Pacific region. Returns the most recently published Regulation Asia articles as clean, ready-to-read JSON, with full article text, publish dates, topics and tags.
Authentication
Regulation Asia issues API access to partners directly — there is no self-serve signup. Contact support@regulationasia.com to request access.
They will send you two values:
- API key — looks like
ra_xxxxxxxx. Enter this asapiKey. - API base URL — usually
https://api.regulationasia.com. Only enter this as the optionalbaseUrlfield if Regulation Asia gave you a different address; otherwise leave it blank.
The key identifies your organisation, so treat it like a password.
Articles
Get Latest Articles
Fetch the most recently published Regulation Asia articles, newest first. The feed refreshes roughly once a minute, so polling more often than that will not return newer stories.
This endpoint takes no search or filter parameters — it always returns the current unfiltered feed. Filter by topic, jurisdiction, company or regulator yourself from the topics, tags, title and content fields on the articles that come back.
Operation Type: Query (Read)
Parameters:
- limit
number(nullable): Keep only the newest N articles from the feed (1-20). The API always returns the whole feed, so this trims it afterwards to save context. Default: null (return everything the feed gave back) - includeContent
boolean: Include the full plain-text body of each article. Set to false when you only need headlines, links and topics — twenty full articles is a lot of text. Default: true
Returns:
- articles
array of objects: The latest articles, newest first- title
string: Article headline - url
string: Link to the full article on regulationasia.com - excerpt
string(nullable): Short plain-text summary of the article - content
string(nullable): Full article body as plain text, already stripped of HTML. Null whenincludeContentis false. - publishedAt
string(nullable): Publish date/time in UTC (ISO 8601) - topics
array of objects: Grouped subject areas the article was filed under- category
string: Parent subject area (e.g. "Markets & Infrastructure") - subcategory
array of strings: Subcategories under that parent (e.g. ["Structural Regulation"])
- category
- tags
array of strings: Free-form keywords on the article (e.g. ["ASIFMA", "APAC"])
- title
- total
number: Number of articles returned
Example Usage:
{
"limit": 5,
"includeContent": true
}
Headlines only, for a quick scan of the whole feed:
{
"limit": null,
"includeContent": false
}
Note on feed size: the feed returns up to 20 articles, but it is size-limited. On a heavy news day, when the day's stories are unusually long, it returns the newest articles that fit and leaves out the oldest, so you may receive fewer than 20. Every article that does come back keeps its complete full text, so nothing is ever cut off partway through an article.
